Mappic Content Policy

When posting photos you still have the full copyrights, but you agree to let Mappic use them on the Mappic website. Your name will appear in the copyright info connected to each picture, unless you have disabled this in your user settings.

Please post only your own content. Copyright laws generally protect other people's content.

Mappic is NOT a place where you can store pictures to be included on other websites. Mappic is protected against hotlinking, and you will not be able to hotlink without a written agreement.

We reserve the right to remove any objectionable or off-topic materials posted to the site and disable the author's account if necessary. You can at any time choose to withdraw your photos from Mappic by sending us an email.

Your privacy is very important to us. As part of the operation of this site we collect and in some cases disclose information about you. This policy details what information we may collect and what we do with that information.

In our registration form, we require you to provide us with your name, e-mail address, a user login (nickname), and your country of residence. Your e-mail address is used when sending the initial password. After your first logon you will be able to modify your details.

Your login and password are used solely for identification and authorization. You choose whether your email address and your name are displayed on material that you publish. Regardless of your setttings, your email address will not be visible to non-members unless you include it yourself in clear writing.

We may track information about your Web site activity including what URL you came from (identifying search engines, partner/linking sites, etc.), what browser you are using, and how you navigate the site. This information can help us determine which parts of the site are popular or where navigation may be confusing, and help us improve the site by looking at individual cases.

This website use 'cookies' for storing session IDs. Cookies are bits of data saved by and used specifically for a Web site. Mappic only uses cookies that it originated, to keep track of a 'user session' that makes logging into the site and submitting pictures possible. The session cookie is deleted when you log out.

We may use your e-mail address to contact you for administrative purposes. We may also inform you of new site features unless you have disabled this in your user settings.

Most importantly, we will not sell or rent any personal information about you to a third party.
